On Sunday 25th November, the sun shone a bit brighter in YMCA Colaba.
HelpOut had it its “BasketBall Tournament” and the turnout was in sync with the passion and enthusiasm put into the planning.
The event which started at 3pm , went on till 7pm. There were 17 teams with almost 65 children. Sport always brings people together and when the coming together is for a good cause the energy becomes palpable.
We also had cookies baked by our own HelpOut member, which added to the cheer and excitement.
The proceeds of this tournament, will be used towards a Sweater Drive for the village of Ladiwali and then a forthcoming medical camp.
The prize distribution as expected, was a perfect culmination to a fun filled day. Nagpada NNH came in as the winners and Mastan YMCA were the runner ups. The winning teams received their trophies and medals.
It was an evening, where everyone went home with special memories, smiling faces and it marked the perfect beginning for the Christmas Season.
