This time round HelpOut was mindful of the lack of proper footwear that the school children in Ladiwali had. Many had chappals that were well worn and the not the correct size, some did not have footwear at all. Given the uneven terrain and the distances they walked to get to school, we held a Chappal Drive.
The drive was held on 7th September 2019.
It was great fun, matching the footwear so that each child got the correct size and mostly their favourite colour.
The smiling faces warmed our hearts and reminded us that while we have many big milestones planned ahead ......sometimes it is the smallest things make the biggest difference.
